Yes... I've noticed that in availability of broadband, price of broadband, and speed of broadband, the US (which used to be far ahead of all others) has lately lost ground on several competitors. In cellular, the situation (consumer-wise) is similarly better in most of Europe... with customers not locked into high-priced long term contracts... and also able to use their handsets on various different providers' networks (without 'vendor lock-in')... also 'caller pays' is more common....
