I'm confused about what you’re confused about. As for religion, I'm opposed to it - flat out. I think religion is bad. I think religion is the root of all evil, wars, conflicts, the reason the world is on a path to destruction and why humans don't accept one another. I don't like it when anyone advances religion especially when it is a person in a position of authority or someone who seeks to increase the negative power of religion. That said I know Catholics who go to church every Sunday, were baptized, confirmed, and married in the church, have done their first Fridays who believe that abortion is none of the church's business, and that gay's supporting gay marriage should be allowed to receive the sacrament of communion just like they themselves do. These Catholics do not relinquish their individuality to the church; they take the churches gospel as they find it relevant to their lives. Anything else?
