My sister is staying in Melbourne for a couple of years and some of her neighbors were aware of the Diana Kerry article. Perhaps her friends are more militant than the normal australian?

I suspect John Howard is also aware that Diana Kerry was working against his election a month before they go to the polls.

But as you are also in Australia, I am curious about how people around you see this. How do the professionals and locals think about this Iraq war given the mising WMD stockpile, (albeit Saddam was going to restart the weapons after sanctions are lifted)?
