<<Greg, Auburn will not be just a "High-End" chip. It will be targeted at Klamath, and is designed to be a next generation "low cost/high performance", Virge/VX type solution..>>

Matthew,
This is a misinformation.
1. According to all articles I read, Intel is not going to make Auburn in volume until beginning of 1998, not 4th QTR of 1997.
2. They are aiming at high end. Show us your sources where it says otherwise. Why would Intel go into S3 business. Intel's margins are 60%, and S3 are 40% at best. It is the same like, say, S3 will go into DRAM business.
3. It is so funny. When price of the stock is going down, all bears are coming out from their lairs. If price of the stock will go up a lot tomorrow, all bulls will jump to the ceiling.
It pays to be a contrarian. AK
