In my time off, I was thinking about the Finn’s in their war with Russian years ago. The best thing they did for future generations was fight to the death in a stalemate, in the end giving up some land. Reason being; look at them today, 3x as wealthy as your average Russian per capital. They were less off than Russia in 1940, now their citizens are much wealthier. Such will likely be the case with Ukraine as they fight to a stalemate. 50-70 years from now the people of Russia will be 3x poorer than the people of Ukraine, as war, subjugation, corruption and lack of freedom to criticize the government remain the cultural norm of Russia. Sure, they will have big bad rockets and nucs, but that won’t mean much as their people work as indentured slaves for China. Vlad can enjoy a few years of blood, in the end his legacy will doom the people of Russia to a future connected to communist tyrants in China, while the rest of the civilized world views them as weary outcasts not worth serious investment. They should start learning Mandarin.
