I know the feeling about buying in. All I seem to be doing is taking profits. Isn't life tough??? I tend to keep my various holdings like VTSS at a certain percent of my total portfolio. When it gets to be 20-30% more than I'd like, (percentage wise), it's because it's been outperforming my other holdings (in which I have similar faith), and I take some profits to get my holdings down to the target percentage. When it drops or underperforms, which VTSS hasn't seemed to be doing too often, I buy it back up to by target percet holding.

I may be suboptimizing, but the system has provided me with a discipline for buying/selling that has met my goals.
