hi bruin, I have been burned in earning plays in the past, but recently I have been lucky probably only because I have been buying strongly uptrending stocks, ie. if a stock is trending up before earnings it will most likely post good earnings. Does that make any sense? You can always buy half of a position before earnings, and maybe buy more after earnings.
