If it wouldn't change things, our rich (and prolly foreign rich) wouldn't be spending so much on the finest politicians they can buy to keep it from happening. You'll see some familiar names there, like the Kochs, Sheldon Adelson, and Harold Hamm who just blew a wad trying to buy the presidency, plus almost every Walton not named Bill.
