Though it sounds good (and tastes good for an oil), grapeseed oil is about 50% linoleic acid, the precursor to arachidonic acid.

Arachidonic acid is a potent inflammatory mediator. It therefore accomplishes the opposite of what fish oil and omega-3 fatty acids accomplish.

The data published by Nash is not uniqueL: It is pretty much characteristic of many poly- and monounsaturates.

It would be among my less desirable choices for healthy oils, along with corn, sunflower and safflower because of its pro-inflammatory characteristics.
