I think North Korea is just the excuse being used by the talking heads for the selling. In actual fact this rally has just matured to the extent that very few stocks have been hitting new highs even as the Dow and S&P 500 hit new highs.

Many stocks have already sold off 20%.

I'm not expecting a major top here. I am not expecting a bear market for the S&P 500. But as you know during this incredible bull market the SOX has on a number of occasions sold off in excess of 20%.

Despite the great earnings and outlooks for component companies I would not be surprised to see the SOX sell off that much again this summer and fall while North Korea or whatever as an excuse.



An actual war changes everything.
