<<It is perfectly logical. A statement of atheistic non-belief is a statement of certainty.

It is a statement that dismisses a whole body of theistic ideas and institutions persisting across time and circumstance, with certainty. >>

There is not one piece of hard evidence for any religion on earth. Any wise person would at least be in a state of doubt.

That is pure psychobabble. Nonsense at best an obfuscation at worst.

Belief has nothing to do with certainty. People believe all sorts of things but are not certain.

I believe there are sentient beings in the universe, but I am not certain of it.

I believe the universe is infinite, but am not certain about it.

I could list stuff all day long about things I believe, that I am not certain about.

One has no control over belief.

Charles Pierce said it best about belief.

Everyone is in one of three states of belief at any given time:

Belief, doubt or disbelief.
