If one thought about it long enough, from a macroeconomic standpoint, it could be argued that the OTC:BB accomplishes the exact opposite of the bigger markets—the free flow of investment funds; capital liquidity to facilitate economic growth in the business sector.

OTC:BB money only pretends to finance business expansion; the increase of employees and payrolls, capital expenditure, and the like. Instead, much of the money goes to the few individuals involved in the scam, some of it going off-shore, other parts of it "hidden" from taxation. So really, a certain portion of the money supply is leaked out of the economy via this "market", and monetary policy maybe should consider dismantling the sordid penny stock swamp.

But do I want to spend my time thinking about this on a beautiful Marin Sunday? Nah—I've got to re-index my audio tape collection of "Famous Yiddish Sports Aphorisms".
