>> That's true and it has nothing to do with Obamacare.

It has everything to do with the pack of lies used to sell Obamacare. The idea that there was some big problem with people using the ER because they were uninsured. Fucking lie.

>> That's your very biased opinion speaking.....

No, it is a simple fact. If you are on Medicaid you pay nothing to visit a doctor (or in some cases, pay a copay) and you pay nothing at all to go the ER. Rather than be put off for a week when you try to schedule an appointment with the limited number of providers, you go the ER and get same-day treatment. You don't give a shit. You're not paying for it.

>> And you pay nothing for the ER??
If I go to the ER on my policy I pay a copay and it is substantial.

>> There are more that 60 primary care docs in Little Rock that accept Medicaid.....there are 3373 docs of all types accepting Medicaid

I don't know what the numbers are today, but (a) 60 is not many for a metro area and (b) whatever they are they're a lot fewer than they were because I know a number of docs myself in LR who have dropped Medicaid. And new docs I work with are opting out at the outset. I haven't seen a new doc's office in several years who takes Medicaid.

It has gotten so bad that my state had to just start buying commercial BCBS policies for Medicaid beneficiaries.
