Sorry, I've spent far too much time listening to & reading Aaron Carroll's nonsense dating back to early 09. He's a liberal, he has pretty much been wrong about everything from start to finish, and I make it my practice to avoid him at this point because his bullshit hasn't changed.

Emergency rooms serve the population well, and serve hospitals well, also. They are money makers for hospitals.

And they provide excellent care, for the most part, to those who show up there. So, I really don't know what the problem is. It is a hell of a lot cheaper way to get services to the indigent than Obamacare.
