New WOWW Stock Symbol for World Callnet

If I find more, or if others can as well, please post] February 3, 1999 07:59 AM LONDON, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- World CallNet Inc, the Nasdaq OTC Bulletin Board listed pay-as-you go internet service provider and developer of parallel technology to WebTV owned by Microsoft MSFT and Broadcom Corp. BRCM , has changed its symbol name to WOWW.
Paul Goodman-Simpson, President and CEO of World CallNet commented: "The change of symbol name to WOWW (from the previous ticker name of TROY) more accurately reflects the fact that we are an internet company. The WOWW symbol name also captures the sense of excitement that surrounds the technology sector, in general, and our prospects in particular."
Recent news from World CallNet Inc has included a deal whereby all televisions manufactured by Vestel Corp, who account for 20% of the expanding European television market, are to be installed with World CallNet's revolutionary new MailTV(TM) module which enables televisions to send and receive email and access the interactive InterText system.
The company also recently reported that strong interest from many of the world's major TV manufacturers has been generated from the premiere of the company's MailTV technology at the international Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas in January 1999.
