bob,

<<Using his bully pulpit at TheStreet.com he is able to disseminate his slanted and warped POV without any response.>>

A while back somebody posted that review to this thread and you did not have fit about then. Now, this guy repeats what is in the review and tell people where they can find it so they can read it for themselves, and you have a fit? It's old news to us, but it is news. Why not direct more people to the news? Perhaps he is trying to manipulate the stock price, but he is just repeating what somebody else said. Consider yourself lucky that he didn't say anything about how the stock price has dropped. I hope EDIG does not waste its time trying to rebut this.

<<Using one so-called "study" from three "professional listeners" (are they being paid to listen? If so I wonder who is paying them...) to say that MP3 is as good as EPAC or any other codec>>

Those three "professional listeners" are not the only people who claim that EPAC is not the best. A post was made to this thread not too long ago that stated that there are new codecs coming out that are better than EPAC. Everybody pretty much ignored that post and the post of the review. But now that the review may reach a larger audience, you get defensive?

<<If MP3 was so good then why aren't the music labels encoding their libraries with it?

How do you know what the music labels are doing?

<<I guess SONY missed the message too.>>

It would not be the first time Sony missed something -- Bata Max. Memory Stick has an up hill battle and so does the Super Audio CD. Now they are looking into plastic CDs.

<<Security is another little topic that Mr. Seymour conveniently fails to mention. I suppose it will be MPfree forever then.>>

bob, you know security is not an issue in Phase I. You also know that the SDMI no longer has an issue MP3. By Phase II or before MP3 will be as secure as any other codec.
Did you read this: wired.com

Is EDIG going too low and you are just getting a little nervous?
