Is the bold statement by Irwin Jacobs regarding W-CDMA his way of showing that Qualcomm almost has the GSM IPR and can now allow partial CDMA overlays with roaming to GSM networks?

Perhaps that was what he was trying to say. Sulpizio might have said it in a way even the Financial Time could not have missed. Like the GSMers are cooked.
