re: "opps"

(not sure if you mean oops=mistake or opps=opportunities)

How about, "it's got momentum, I'll buy at 190". Oops.
"it's got momentum, I'll buy at 180". Oops.
"it's got momentum, I'll buy at 170". Oops.
"This is just a little dip in the upward channel, still above the 50-day moving average, I'll buy at 160". Oops.
"Gosh, it's way off it's highs, a value stock now, I'll buy at 150". Oops.
"Things can't get any worse, the bad news is in the stock, I'll buy at 140". Oops.
"It's so cheap now, I'm going to buy calls at 130". Oops.
"Buying more calls at 120." Oops.
"I can't believe Mr. Market is so stupid, letting me buy this stock so cheap. Buying on margin at 110." Major oops.
"Maxing out my margin, buying at 100. This ought to be strong psychological support." Maximally major oops.
"Let me see, at what price will I get a margin call?" Ugh.

Those are "Oops" on a bigger scale than any of your "opps"(sic).

So far this year, the investors who waited, and said, "you can pay too much for a good stock, but I won't", have been right. Thinking about cautious posts, instead of ridiculing them, might be profitable.
