Hi CL: >>If we stayed in the 7400 to 8200 range for a while longer, that would be just fine with me. I'm just starting to get the hang of playing the waves up and down. No doubt that means the rules are about to change.<<
You got it! the market is a random process. Supply/demand determines daily closing prices (as well as a "conviniently placed" 100 share trade at the ask at the closing). Stock fundamentals affect the stock price in the short term. We wish the stock(s) would start behaving our way as soon as we take a position in them [as if they knew we own them!] Unfortunately, this is seldom the case.
I am short AVNT, AOL, SEEC, DDIM, ZITL, ALYD (took a big hit yesterday), BFIT, TRBO, ACLY, and almost forgot YHOO and except for YHOO and AOL which I may cover at a profit in the next market dip, I intend to keep the shorts in the list for a while longer.
