What corner has Russia been backed into? They have front loaded a corner from their own decision making.
No one forced Russia to invade Ukraine. I don't know how may times I have to say it, Russia wasn't forced into invading Ukraine. That is an urban myth, a false narrative, a meme, Russian propaganda.
Russia/Putin decided to invade Ukraine and blow up bridges, murder people and unleash hell. One day folks were walking around Kyiv having a good day, the next day Russian special forces were trying to take over the city.
Of course another hardliner "could" come into power and want to take the Putin road again. I don't think the people will like it though. I don't think whoever it is that comes to power would get the support, control of the media and influence quickly the way Putin has controlled the masses.
Russians are voting with their feet, cars, trains and planes. They are leaving in droves, hundreds of thousands of them. Anyone believing the average Russian is filled with joy following their beloved Putin is kidding themselves and probably listening to too much Russian television.
Their people hate the war too. It was supposed to be a "military exercise", then a "limited military exercise", then a "small call up for support". Notice each time its an incremental move in the big war direction.
Putin can handle a few thousand demonstrators, toss them in jail and control the press and people knowing about it. He cannot handle hundreds of thousands. Therefore, subterfuge, obfuscation and lies are what he's been forced into using. It began as a "We can't have them joining NATO", then "historically it's our land" nonsense. Now, who knows, whatever he wants to make up in his moronic head.
Russia and Hillary is another in a long line of political lies. While Hillary and company were pretending to hate Russia, they were signing over Uranium stockpiles and accepting big money into their foundation. So the hate was fake, as Russia and China are more in alignment with the way Demolibs want to run the country. Government control over everyones lives is their dream, aligned to complete media control. Just like Russia and China. Hate and fear of them is a mirage, intended for the masses to win votes, or in the case of Trump, get him impeached. |
