Tim,

I also spoke w/Mark a while ago. Here's a copy of what I posted on
AOL Message Board:

Just spoke w/Mark @ Inv. Comm. - (bad?) news first:
re: NASDAQ, probably not in February. Reason is that when ZMAX
received the $5.5M private placement (press release 12/10/96),
decided it best to submit entire FY financial data to SEC/
NASDAQ, vs. 3 quarters. Financials, business plan, etc. are all being
audited & going through necessary procedures. ZMAX wants listing
moreso than investors, but they are going full-speed ahead in the
meantime.
Per Mark, no guarantees, but February should be "one helluva month".
Stock is cheap right now, not to worry. Price will (should) increase
due to combination of announcements, 3rd party endorsements, and
finally - fundamentals.
Some tidbits:
ZMAX listing on Frankfort Stock Exchange to kick off sometime soon
(Mark thinks this week). I personally have no idea, but Mark says the
Frankfort Exchange compares to the Berlin Exchange (where ZMAX & other
y2k stocks have been listed for a few weeks) like the NY Exchange
compares to the Philadelphia Exchange. Though not the same size as NY,
the Frankfort Exchange is where the big boys play. FWIW, Mark also
says that Europeans are much more prone to investing in BB stocks than
are US institutions & individual investors.

New market maker on board - Canter Fitagerald, supposedly pretty big
outfit.

Mark seems excited about about ZMAX as a player in the international
market. Cites the facts that the $5.5M private placement came from
European institutions (mentioned Brown Bros. & Swiss America); these
institutional investors are long-term players; ZMAX Board of Directors
loaded with heavyweights in international business. As always, no
specifics, just "Stay tuned".

Individual investors cannot margin (or short) BB stocks. However,
market makers can. Any market makers currently shorting ZMAX stock
are obviously selling at low prices (12-13). First significant move
upward will put virtually all of these shorts in the hole in a hurry -
maybe 1st ZMAX short squeeze, who knows?

Anyway, nothing official to report, but if February is indeed going to
be "one helluva month", we've only got 24 days to go.>>

Interesting to hear 400K short vs. 600K float. That may help make
February even more interesting.

BTW, other 2 stocks I was speaking of are Alydaar (which I own) &
Forecross (Vancouver Exchange), which I don't own; however, they sound
like a player. ALYD was having a great day last time I checked.

Take care,
David
