docHarbor(SM) Launches New Online Service for Telecommunications Providers;
Signs Online Services Agreement with Ameritech Communications, Inc.

HERNDON, Va., June 13 /PRNewswire/ -- docHarbor, a leading application
service provider (ASP), has launched a new online service specially designed
to meet the needs of the telecommunications industry. docHarbor's newest
service offering transforms the output of diverse billing systems to web-based
formats for consolidated display, delivering superior customer service and
improved time to market for Internet bill presentment. docHarbor also
announced that it has signed an agreement with Ameritech Communications, Inc.,
a premier provider of communications services.

With the number of mergers and acquisitions in recent years, it is not
uncommon for a large telecommunications company to have several billings
systems, each supporting different corporate entities as well as various land
line, wireless, broadband, and digital service offerings. For these
companies, docHarbor's billing system aggregation service creates integrated
output for call center, financial, administrative, and consumer applications,
without the capital and resource investments required to migrate to a single
billing system. At the same time, docHarbor provides "exact view" web
presentment of electronic bills, helping providers meet the growing demand for
customer self-service options.
"There are billions of statements and invoices, as well as e-commerce
transactions, that will be delivered electronically over the next several
years. And because of legal and business reasons, virtually all of these need
to be managed in a legally-compliant manner," said Craig LeClair, senior vice
president of docHarbor and General Manager of its Telecommunications group.
"docHarbor's expertise in compliance, unmatched service efficiency, and
powerful web-enabling technologies, provide telecommunications companies, like
Ameritech, with archive and delivery solutions that are designed to support
legal compliance."
LeClair noted that a consolidated format for delivery and viewing enables
a telecommunications company to improve customer service, provide a compliant
centralized repository, and move toward more complete e-commerce solutions.
docHarbor continues to build its presence in the telecommunications
industry, one of its key vertical market sectors, through agreements with a
growing number of top-tier customers, including a recently-signed contract
with Ameritech Communications, Inc., a company of SBC Communications, Inc.
Ameritech has nearly 20 million business and residential customers, with more
than 22 million access lines, across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and
Wisconsin.
Visit docHarbor at the TeleStrategies Billing 2000 Conference &
Exhibition, June 27-29 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC,
booth 976.
