Boeing Co. is trying to speed up production of 787 work that's not currently getting done at its North Charleston, S.C. production facility by offering bonuses to workers there.

The Seattle Times reports Boeing (NYSE: BA) is offering a one-time bonus of 8 percent of a year’s pay to South Carolina employees if workers there can deliver more completed 787 fuselage sections to Everett, where the plane is finally assembled.

Incomplete fuselage sections needing additional work are being sent from South Carolina to Everett, so Boeing is offering an incentive to South Carolina workers to increase the number of completed fuselage sections shipped to Everett.
