Congress cannot tell the states how to elect the President.
I know that. But, what was the bill the Dems tried to pass but didn’t get enough support? From what I read, it would give the federal government at least some power over the elections. Would it be unconstitutional? Maybe. That would be up to the Supreme Court to determine - when it would get around to it.
