A few thoughts from Arizona. Anecdotal of course. 1. All my Democrat friends and partners all voted by mail, roughly 1-2 weeks ago. Only a few of my Republican friends voted by mail. 2. They were motivated to vote by two things: 1. Dobbs/Abortion/AZ's stringent pre-state abortion law; 2. Hatred of all things Trump. No concern about Biden. 3. Republican friends were more concerned about the economy and Biden. Abortion wasn't an issue. 4. A lot of Republican friends voted Lake because they didn't like Hobbs, but voted for Astronaut Mark because he was perceived as a moderate. 5. A lot of friends also plan to vote by mail in the future if they bother to vote. Yesterday's 3 hour long lines made them reconsider voting in person.
