...see Citrix Metaframe in action. You can do that live on their web site. citrix.com

Second go to Microsoft's site and look at their comparison of the protocols RDP vs ICA

microsoft.com

Look at section called Application Publishing. This is a huge advantage that citrix has. A published application let's a user run almost any app from a centralized server and have it appear as though it is running directly on their own desktop in both look and speed. This allows Application service providers to let users choose Ala carte what Apps they will run. This is something that Microsoft has not appeared to be offering in the near future.

Microsoft Terminal server only lets you log into a remote computer. That is, what you see on your screen is a window with another computer desktop within the window. If you've ever run Carbon Copy or PC Anywhere that's what Terminal Server looks like only with much better performance.

Metaframe actually lets the remote apps become part of your desktop. You can run Office 2000 on a old 386 with Windows 3.1 or DOS 4.0 for that matter with the performace of a modern high speed desktop without feeling like you are opening a Terminal session.

You can also embed applications in on a web page with Citrix. You can set up a page that a user can actually run the app right in the web browser.

As far as GOJO is concerned. I don't know enough about it to give an opinion on it's technical virtues. What I have heard about it does not make me feel that it is a contender to the Citrix crown. But I think everyone should decide for themselves. graphon.com

Hope this helps. I believe very much in the future of Citrix and the direction of their Technology. I think that this is one of those companies that in 5 years you will hear the stories. "If you had only put $10,000 in Citrix 5 years ago, you'd have ?,???,??? now">>>
