My investment horizon is 12 to 15 years and I don't react to near term market conditions unless I believe new information changes my rational for holding a stock. As far as amd goes I believe one of the following three things will happen to them in the next two years:

- Jerry Sanders will be ousted and a new ceo will sell or exit cpu business and focus on niche businesses where amd can be profitable. (eg Used limo business??).
- amd's valuation will become so low they will be bought out by another company. SG Thompson would be a logical choice as the arrogant French ALWAYS believe they can run a business better than English speakers, (Jerry only qualifies as one of those as he doesn't speak any other language). eg Bull Information Systems, American Motors/Renault.
- amd will file for protection from creditors.

Not too bad really! Two out of three of these must seem downright palatable for amd shareholders.
