Sanctimonious — self righteous, hypocritical, better than thou….
Personally, I don’t see that. He seems enthusiastic about doing the right thing, proud when he gets things right, I think he’s grateful for the opportunity to do what he’s doing, generous about acknowledging help and support.
All I know about him is his public persona. But, he seems like a good guy. (Edit — importantly, his wife and the people around him seem enthusiastic and happy).
That recent commercial (about God creating a fighter) did make him look, perhaps, a bit over the line. Maybe that’s what gave Trump the idea. But, imo, that ad was a mistake. I didn’t quite recognize the man in that ad.
So, my answer, in the end, is no. |
