OK, so Trump got the 3rd highest percent of Latino voters among Republicans who were elected President. That’s still pretty good.

The point of my remark was that Trump did well among regular people of all races and walks of life. THEY elected him.

But - Few of Trump voters were the kind of people who could serve as members of the cabinet - or take charge and run the enormous government machinery. He had to look for such people among those who didn’t vote for him and didn’t like him. Many of them, I’m sure, were professional enough to do their jobs - but still, the president had very little support among the government apparatchiks. Many did whatever they could to undermine him and his policies.

I suspect that if he’s elected in 2024, he may still have the same problem.
