Pierre,

It's nice to hear that someone has decent bandwidth; forgive me if I'm a little envious. Would you mind answering a few questions about performance/availability?

1. Where are you located?

2. What is the base configuration of your PC system? Pentium, 486, Mz?

3. Browsers usually reflect how fast a download is occuring; What is the maximum download rate that you experience?

4. How fast does the, for example, Microsoft home page take to load up? A blink, 5 seconds, 2 seconds?

5. Does it seem to vary during heavy internet usage periods, typically 6PM to mdinight east coast time?

6. Do you have an idea how many homes are on your cable loop and what the subscriber rate is?

7. I assume that you can watch cable TV at the same time you're using your modem. True?

8. The 49.95 per month is for unlimited use?

9. Assuming you had unlimited usage with your former ISP, do you find yourself (or family) on line more because of the improved performance?

10. Does the Cable company let you stay on continuously?

11. Do you know if your Lancity modem has the capability of exceeding 1.5 Meg? (Trying to see if the Cable Co. is holding back capability to offer it later)

Thanks in advance.

Best regards and a Happy New Year,
Jim Nickel
