First and most importantly, Happy New Year.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I have worked with someone like JP and I can tell you that ignoring him doesn't work. These kind of people just get uglier and louder. I don't think it is a matter of jollies, as you put it, but rather a perverse sense of power and control. We can complain to the Webmaster, but JP can continue to come back under new names with new IP addresses, so that approach is futile. The approach that I find has success, is to directly confront the individual and let him know, in effect, that his behavior is unacceptable.
