In my opinion, the PC market should be great and remain so for several more years. My first PC went obsolete within a few months of purchase and the one I bought a few months ago leaves me wishing I could have afforded more. As I see it, every 2-4 years, the millions who have PCs will be purchasing new ones and at the same time, more of those who don't have PCs will find a need for them too. If an S3 chip is in only 40-50% of those PCs, we've got to see earnings rise. Who today would buy a PC that has only 2M RAM or 100M hard drive??? (by the way, I've got one in the closet I'll sell you. Well, if you haven't noticed - 133GHz pentium's and 16M Rams, and eventually 2D displays are going to be dinasours and S3 is ready now. These other jokers have just realized where the future market lies and they are trying to catch up. S3 will be bringing in profits while the others are still recouping their development costs. L O N G on S3.
