The Holman Rule cited by MTG is intriguing. Trouble is, if they break it and misappropriate funds, who's going to hold them to account? Not DOJ. They've been captured by the corruption long ago. We can all see it now. That's the difference. It was hidden before and only certain people knew. Patronage. Opprobrium.

President Jackson ran into it. I wonder about LindyBill's statement in the thread header. I wonder if Jackson and LB knew...

It is a shame they cannot press these people on their answers.

They might not be able to get them to talk, but they sure as heck can withhold their salaries. It may come to that.
