no. i understand that mechanical glitches
can happen - that's not what bothers me.

our coverage led us immediately outside -
following wayne in the back of a pick up truck
for 15 minutes to light the outdoor flame.

it was anti-climatic, hokey, and so amaturish (sp?)

if you didn't see it, i'm glad. maybe it was
only meant for domestic consumption, but as far
as it being part of the opening ceremonies, i
thought i sucked - big time. like i said. i
reminded me of a bad john candy movie.

other than that, i thought we didn't do too
badly. actually, i got real tearie on occasion
... often as a matter of fact. parades do that
to me as well :) i was annoyed that the aboriginal
leaders were late for the event - i'm sure that
was a political ploy. and what bugs me the most
was the butchering of 'oh canada'. i hate to see
it when they do that to your anthem as well.
both are beautiful songs and deserve to be sung as
written - with the respect they deserve.

sarah was great - so was bryan and k.d.

g'nite
