I agree that SHVA's woes are not indicative of the industry. However, it is important to note that no one cares what we think. Kapeesh?
Whether or not it is justified, SHVA's story is going to hurt USRX (and other networkers--especially ASND) tomorrow. As you know, Wall Street tends to paint industries with a very broad brush. But at least you can't say that this is totally irrational, since they are in similar businesses.
But at least this isn't as stupid as October 1995, when MOT came in with bad earnings and cited weakness with cellular phones. That day, they took totally, 100%, absolutely, unrelated stocks like MSFT and INTC down as well.
Anyway, things could be even worse for USRX than they otherwise would have been, because some Wall Streeters are already nervous about USRX's quarter (reference the H&Q fiasco last week).
