Thanks CB. This is exactly what I've said, or certainly intended. Perhaps not clear enough for kholt. We're not talking about walking away from the military while legally obligated to serve. That can't be done.

We're talking about voluntarily enlisting to serve in the future. To make a commitment to serve for a term of years, knowing that Kerry has voted against US military funding over and over again, that he believes the war in Iraq is the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that he wants the international community to decide how to deploy the US military in future.

I doubt seriously many, if any, of our present Military will walk away from their current obligation, even if Kerry is elected. The question is just how many will enlist for the first time, or re-enlist if Kerry is CIC, for all the reasons that have been discussed. TWT.
