As for "how early patients seek medical assistance" shouldn't this factor be a plus for government systems in which supposedly everyone gets "free care" with checkups? If they don't seek medical assistance because they don't have access, perhaps, but if it's because they're too macho or uninterested or busy or stupid, not so much. Maybe about the cultural issues, though the survival instinct I consider pretty universal. Some oldsters head for the blinking lights of the hospital while others head for the ice floes. That is a fact.
