Listened to NPR for a bit the past couple nights on the way home and each time caught their coverage of the Dont Ask, Dont Tell issue. Last night, every voiced opinion they aired was the same - its bigotry, it must be ended, oh how horrible ....but the capper was tonights opening of that segment. Referring to the previous nights coverage, the announcer said words to the effect, "Last night we heard a range of views on this subject ...". I laughed my head off. There had been only ONE view aired.

Then they went on to cover more opinions - all opposed to DADT with one exception, an alleged young Marine who said he was against because without it there'd be another Matthew Shepherd incident.

Another laugh, one Marine who said his father was gay, cursed while talking about any other Marines who might diss him for his father being gay. The announcer described his opinion as "full-throated". Sheesh.

Then they allegedly went to a Hooters somewhere to find offduty Marines all of whom they noted would only talk to them anonymously. One said he's support whatever his commander in chief ordered, since he was in "the Presidents Army" (quote) - now does that sound like what a Marine would say about his Corps (that its the "Presidents Army")?
