>we were endowed by Our Creator with certain inalienable rights among which are Life Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.......<<
actually it says "pursuit of property", not happiness, as happiness is a state of mind, and property, can be felt, smelt, and dealt in.
>It is perfectly clear to me now, with 100% certainty and 100%proof ( to my mind ) that the Universe is still a mystery<
i agree. the universe is a mystery to you.
>>That means that if we do not have a Creator we don't have these rights. Correct?<<
now you're sounding like congress...
>>How do you explain that to High Schoolers in Public Schools when you tell them that their US Declaration of freedom of thought ( from England )<<
actually, it was the Declaration of Independence, which is a political term for "butt out"
>>>them that they have these rights through this wonderful Creator and then when they ask you " but who is he? what does he look like? where can I find him? "the answer is " I don't know and no you can't find out about him, at least not in THIS hallowed hall of Knowledge, your High School ".<<<
I would rather that I described My views on God,(or the COSMIC MONKEY, Deanna, Crow, etc.,) to my children, with my religious community helping me, than ANY Government agency teaching my children about a state defined diety(Which usually is the state). |
