Saddam's generals said he destroyed his WMD after the Gulf War, then just pretended he still had them in order to scare his domestic enemies. The CIA confirmed this six months before the invasion of Iraq but the WH didn't want to hear that. They wanted to hear fictional accounts. Cheney went to the CIA ten times to pressure analysts into faking WMD stories. Tenet finally gave in and sold his soul to Cheney's devil. They made Powell their public liar. Every single thing Powell told the UN turned out to be total fabrications. Just like the smearvets claims against Kerry. All total nonsense.
