Personally, I don't believe democracy has failed. It has become corrupted by those that seek to enrich themselves and by those that see the corruption and do nothing. Democracy is strong in any area where corruption is weak. For all the trouble that might be coming, installing something other than a democratic form of government is not an option for me.
