Thanks for the article. At least, some serious consideration was given to the issue. There is a point - accepting the case could have triggered many other cases of “almost hypothetical” disagreements between states. But still, I sense there may be another side, too - if an election is decided because some states did not follow procedures as defined in the Constitution, that may be a problem.

I’m not a lawyer, and may be missing things. Besides, I don’t expect any system designed by us, imperfect humans - to be perfect. And, I like our system.
