No explanations were necessary. Homosexuality is a divisive
political issue. Cheney's daughter is not a public figure.
She does not have a history of publicly discussing her sexual
preferences.

For Kerry to bring up the sexuality of his opponent’s
daughter in front of 60 million Americans, after John Edwards
did likewise in the last debate, made it clear that this was
a calculated stunt to score political points. That Kerry
couched his public outing of his opponent’s daughter in a
sensitive reply was designed to give plausible deniability to
their low brow attempt to score political points.

Anyone who thinks this wasn’t pre-planned is fooling
themselves. Hello! It happened in two consecutive debates!

And isn’t it just a bit too presumptuous of Kerry/Edwards to
do an encore presentation of a public outing?

BTW, who was the divider this time?
