Covid:
Our response to Covid killed globalism, so scarcity (read inflation by limited supply) is going to be pervasive and persistent. The Fed can't print hard assets. Covid itself is the seasonal flu but we managed to wrap a narrative around it that scared the hell out of everyone. I personally would have not gotten an mRNA shot but my father (80 years old with COPD at the time) was so freaked out about me coming to visit him back when the "vaccine prevents the spread" that I did it SOLELY for him. I firmly believe that you survive one disease just long enough to die from another one and that in all our brilliance we do not have a thimble's full of intelligence that nature has.
Russia:
The west set itself up for that. Please do some historical digging. 1991-1994 we promised we wouldn't expand NATO towards its borders, then 2016 with the Minsk agreement the areas now annexed were all supposed to vote by referendum (read democracy) on which countries flag they wanted to fall under. Those areas are ethnically Russian and the west knew full well they would vote to be Russian territories. Putin is not trying to restore the USSR. With that, I level a warning to all those who want him overthrown or taken out of power. Be damn careful what you wish for because you just might get it..... He is a measured and very moderate man. The person that comes after him will not be.

In preface, spot on regarding Big Pharma and Pfizer in particular.  I used to work for them and have some sense of who (really, what) drives that business. Same as it ever was, $$$. I'm afraid you will find that on this, as on any medical or political or market-counting topic, no amount of facts will overcome Truth with our friendly neighborhood propagandist. That was my experience during more than a year attempting to actually argue (as opposed to repetitive claims ignoring facts) such points in the Politics thread.
The real meat of my post: would you be willing to elaborate on why Putin is 'evil' in your view, at least more evil than the leaders of the West who, it seems to me, are intent on fomenting WW3? I daresay you may have a better perspective or sources that would change or at least challenge my impressions.
By way of explanation, I grew up inundated with the Evil Empire view (Texas, born and raised, and generally subject to MSM indoctrination as much as the next fellow). Subsequent, quite thorough study of actual history (so far as could be obtained, and as opposed to what we were spoon-fed in the 1950s-80s) made me regard the USSR (and the CCP, and Viet Cong, and Khmer Rouge, etc.) as every bit as bad as painted... de minimum, in the USSR, as far as Stalin for sure, Khrushchev pretty much, not so much Gorbachev. The USA was replete with paid agents of the USSR in the highest levels of gubmint, just as McCarthy had claimed, but that did not negate the truth of desired World Domination by Communism goal of the USSR and the horrible degradation of Human Society which it entailed. If anything, the KGB files that detailed the reality of said paid agents reinforced the view that the USA and that for which it stands (or should stand) were directly threatened.
However, nothing I've been able to find puts Putin in that category - emphatically, just the opposite. Not a commie (and certainly not KGB-type), not an oligarch, a solid, honest person and fervent Russian Patriot, yes. I don't pretend to know all knowable about the man, but my sense is that he is exactly NOT evil, certainly no more evil than Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump or Biden, and might be better compared to a Washington than to a Stalin.

"Speaking of conspiracy theories, we have in the department of "You can't make this stuff up" a 47-minute jaw-dropping video which just begins to describe the tip of the iceberg the level of corruption that exists at the highest level of not only the US gubmint, but of several other gubmints acting in concert with the US gubmint.
This brings a whole new meaning to "The Deep State" and explains a great deal as to why there are no investigations much less prosecutions much less jail time for many obvious egregious crimes perpetrated in plain sight by many of our anointed so-called leaders. Consequences are nonexistent and the video may at least partially explain why. The inter connections are mind boggling.
After viewing this, it may not surprise you that some of the most outlandish conspiracy theories turn out to be conspiracy fact . . . "Pizza Gate", pedophile trafficking organizations, honey pots etc., part of which are in the beltway.
From the days of J. Edgar Hoover's FBI secret files, there seemingly exists a cloud overhanging every important actor in and out of (but related to) the gubmint which can direct and/or veto any activity not "approved" by the puppeteers. Crossing such a line has proven lethal in many instances (e.g. The Clinton Crime Family).
This is stuff that will never appear in a 12th grade civics class because, as Jack Nicholson shouts: "You can't handle the truth." It's no wonder that those CIA files on the JFK Coup d'état haven't been released and will probably never be released.
