The world is now ripe for a Big Die Off either by war,pestilence [the environment seeking revenge on humans]or famine.Truly we are witnessing the crest and crash of the tidal wave. Well you might think a country like ours , that "snacks" 1.5Billion pounds of potatoes in chips alone , 350million moon pies, 500million Krispy Kreme doughnuts 250million bags of Cheese Puffs 75million corndogs 250mil Big Macs foodtv.com ....and 300million "Twinkies" a year could make a differnce though <G> ;-) If every American lost 5lbs , probably would feed the world 3 times over ....and the money spent on exercise machines that end up in the closet could pay off the debt of some small countries! ;-) Their radicalism is only going to worsen as we take over Iraq and still they can't be taken out of poverty. That's not my POV at all , time for a little social reform as well as some religious reform too ...Surprisingly a secular democratic and modern Israel might be more instrumental in saving the collective asses of the Middle East's poor than many see just as yet .... by proper planning and resource management into the future. Israel , and not the "Biblical" Israel but the --->modern Israel is quite capable of leading the way . It should be the end of the line on Nuke proliferation for any developing country , especially ones that cannot feed their own people and are ruled by tyrants and dominated by insane religious fundamentalists.
