Sounds like that was a major screwup. To send 30 ships with various military supplies, fuel - and even mustard gas bombs - without any cover and protection…. sounds like madness.

Btw, I was never sold on the stories about Assad using chemical weapons against civilians. It never added up properly. Every time Assad’s forces would be doing well and seemed to be winning - for some strangest reason the guy felt the compulsion to use chem weapons?? And all this, among reports that the Sunni forces (including ISIS) that were fighting against him had those same chemical weapons?

I think the last time this occurred, they were able to produce evidence that the chem weapons attack has been staged. It actually never happened.
