Monica Re..Intel is spending a lot more - but at least they are adding new manufacturing facilities - about three new fabs last year - and another one this year.

Which would be a good thing only if Intel is expanding sales,(according to last nights CC, sales of P4 stayed constant.), or if Intel was shuttering an equal amount of outdated fab space. If Intel needs the extra fab space solely because of poor yields on .13 um or because of big die theory, the extra costs could kill Intc. margins.
