Not to mention that the only reason why they had a deficit at all was because Walker had given a big tax break to some businesses. So he financed his tax cuts by going after teachers and other government workers.

And the tax cuts, as you point out, did not result in bunches of jobs. It may have even cost jobs because by going after the middle class government workers, they had less money to spend and cutting income to the middle class is one of the most potent ways to kill jobs.

But, the Republican party is all about redistributing income from the poor and middle class to the 1%. So mission accomplished, I guess.
