bgr, how does a faster cpu allow an author to develop his novel more quickly assuming he never powers down his/her computer? how does a faster cpu help him/her while typing? or entering a gazillion numbers into in a speadsheet? of course it helps to crunch the numbers... but actual number crunching is a small % of data entry and pc idle time. this concept is so simple to understand... btw, bgr, please tell us all how to tell the difference between a 286 and a pii750 by looking at nothing more than a screen shot...
