The problem is this:

Here is the guy we need as House Speaker. Whoever he is, whether he wants it or not, he's the guy that needs to be in that job. I mean, I'd like to hear more like this, but "Jimmy" sounds like the right guy for the job to me.

But Gowdy, who knows him well, says, "Oh, he doesn't want that job."

Doesn't sound right to me. Almost sounds like someone who should want the job but doesn't really want to say so.
